Rose Romeo Obituary
A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
She was a loving mother, doting grandmother and great-grandmother, who lived in Seneca Falls for 98 years. Born on the family Black Brook Road farm to Italian immigrants in 1922, Rose was the second youngest of eight siblings. Following her marriage in 1940, Rose and her husband Dominick "Bomber" Romeo ran and operated Romeo's Restaurant for over 40 years. She was a lifelong communicant of Saint Patrick's Church. Well into her 80's and 90's Rose was known for her elaborate cookie trays and multi-course holiday meals. Anyone who was lucky enough to find a seat at her table was sure to leave raving about the food and loving hospitality.
She is survived by her daughters Lena Marr and Debra (David) Swenson; her four grandchildren Dennis (Lisa) Marr, Dionne (Wilbur) Holden, Holly (Jason) Leone and Emily (Tim) Berwind; as well as nine great-grandchildren Alex, Elliot, Noah, Olivia, Eli, Bowen, John, Rose and Joseph; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dominick "Bomber"; her parents Lorenzo and Philomena Cammuso; her sister, Jenny Carbone; her brothers Sam, Tony, Mark, Paul, Pat and Frank Cammuso; and her son-in-law, Dennis Marr Jr.

Lena and family,
Our most sincere sympathy in the loss of Rose. She was such a lovely woman. You are all so fortunate to have had Rose in your lives for so many years and all of you in her life. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

To all of Rose's family. We are so saddened to learn of Rose's passing. We have lost an ICON for sure. Rose was like a second mother to the Rogers family. When we bought Romeos bar from Rose, she was there guiding light for our family on what to do and giving us her secret receipts and was watching over us all the time to be sure things were being done in the correct manner. It did not matter what it was either, cooking, keeping things clean and treating the customers like family. Our success in running Romeos Bar and Restaurant was because we were taught right from wrong, by Rose who we called Aunt Rose. What a great world this would if there were more people like Aunt Rose. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. We love you Aunt Rose.
