Samantha Hilkert Obituary
Friends may call 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday (Oct. 4) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home in Waterloo. The funeral service will be 8:00 p.m. (Oct. 4) at the funeral home. Rev. Thomas Easttey, pastor of Waterloo United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Springbrook Cemetery in Seneca Falls, at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK, 73123-1718 or Waterloo United Methodist Church, 21 W. Williams St., Waterloo, 13165.
Samantha was born June 18, 1982 in Geneva, the daughter of Robert DeRosa and Susan Y. Hilkert. She was a 2000 graduate of Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls. She graduated from the Marion S. Whelan School of Practical Nursing. She was a former employee of Seneca Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Waterloo and Sibley's Home Nursing service.
She is survived by daughters, Courtney Jones and Rieley Cermak; sons, Mason Head and Christian Head; father, Robert DeRosa, of Geneva; mother, Susan Y. Hilkert, of Seneca Falls; step-father, Scott Van Horn, of Waterloo; paternal grandmother, Rose DeRosa, of Geneva; great-maternal grandmother, Winifred Hilkert, of Seneca Falls; fiance, Francis Cermak, of Canandaigua; aunts, Tammy Thompson, of S.C. and Amy McConnell, of N.C.; uncle, Thomas Hilkert, III, of S.C., and cousins.

i cant believe that she is gone. my prays are with my nephew fran and all of the kids. I love you guys and if you need anything Uncle Gary and I are here for you. Sam there wont be a day that goes by that you wont be missed by many. also there wont be a day that goes by that we wont remind ur kids of how much you loved them and how they meant to you. but now that you are with the lord you are all of our angles.

Samantha we will miss you so very much, especially our 4 hour phone calls lol . Rest peacefully now as you watch your sweet babies grow into amazing adults and as i have always promised you i will do everything in my power to make sure they always have each other and cherish every precious memory of how much you love them.
