Stanley Lambert Obituary

WATERLOO– Stanley C. Lambert (Stan), 91, passed away, Friday (March 23, 2018) at his home.

At Stanley's request there will be no public calling hours. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday (April 14, 2018) at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary's Church Waterloo. Rev. James Fennessy will be the celebrant and burial will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Stanley requested memorial contributions be directed to either National Marfan Foundation, 22 Manhasset Avenue, Port Washington, NY 11050, or Cure Autism Now, 5455 Wilshire Blvd. #2250, Los Angeles, CA 90036

Stanley was born on November 7, 1926 in Fayette N.Y., the son of the late Claude R. and Anna M. Froschaur-Lambert. He was employed for twenty-eight years as a truck driver for Souhan Dairy and Geb & Souhan then worked for the Town of Tyre where he retired. He and his wife Mary raised six children and were foster parents to many children in Seneca County for years. He owned and operated a small farm with his sons for forty years raising beef cattle and pigs. His many hobbies and loves included collecting garden tractors and farm toys, weekend outings with his sons to auctions and flea markets, and attending the Steam Pageant and Farm Days. He was a member of the New York Steam Engine Association, the Yates Antique Tractor and Engine Society, and the Finger Lakes Antique Power. He enjoyed time with his grandchildren especially giving them tractor rides. He took extreme pride in showing his great-grandchildren his toy collection and sharing stories about it. He and his wife, Mary J. Steen-Lambert were married 70 years on October 18, 1947. Sadly, he passed away six days prior to her death.

He is proudly survived by his sons Stanley E. (Cindy), Michael J. (Lisa Williams) both of Seneca Falls and Daniel C. (Irene) Lambert of Waterloo; daughters Kathleen M. (Jack) Kuney of Waterloo, Susan L. (Kris) Jackson of Queensbury, N.Y. and Mary Ann Fenton of Bradenton, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; his brothers Dayton (Marjorie) of Clifton Springs and Wayne (Ramona) Lambert of Phelps; and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Hospice of Lifetime Care.
