Theodore "Ted" Newland

GENEVA - Theodore ""Ted"" Newland, age 87, passed away at Geneva General Hospital on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

Family and friends may call on Monday, November 10 from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home, 45 High St., Geneva. A service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home will be followed by burial with Military Honors in N.Y. State Veterans Cemetery, Finger Lakes, Romulus.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Ted was born in Penn Yan, N.Y. June 26, 1938 to the late Foye and Mary (Wright) Newland. He served his country in the Army, stationed in Germany. He had many roles in the tool and die industry retiring as a manufacturing representative. Ted was a motorsports enthusiast putting many miles on cars, snowmobiles and motorcycles. Singing in country music bands and camping across the country were two of his favorite things to do. But most of all, he cherished his wife, Martha, of 64 years, as well as his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons Mark Newland, Tim (Margaret) Newland; daughter, Robin (Craig) Salone. His love and wisdom will live on in his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Nick (Steph) Newland; their daughters Stella and Riley, Mike (Heather) Newland, Joe (Natalie) Newland; their son, Jett, Holley Newland, Marissa (Dylan) Newland, Valerie (Taylor) Newland, Jamie (Rafael) Newland, Jessica (Joseph) Comi; their children, Mason, Lillian and Walker, and Christopher (Jill) Salone. He will also be fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law, Art (Barb) Patrick, Bill (Carol) Patrick; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Pete) Dinsmore, Terry Newland, Lois Newland, and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Dwayne and Lynsley; and sister Jackie Wood.
