Theresa Petrucci Obituary

GENEVA - Theresa "Tessie" Petrucci, 95, of Geneva, N.Y. passed away peacefully on November 22, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

At her request there will be no prior calling hours.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, (December 5) at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen's Church, 48 Pulteney, Geneva, N.Y. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to Geneva General Hospital or St. Stephen's Church.

Tessie was born on January 15, 1927 to Guy and Dominica (Iannuzzi) Bruno. She was married to Anthony "Pete "Petrucci Sr. for 69 years. A graduate of Geneva High School and a graduate of the Marion Whelan School of Nursing worked at Geneva General Hospital for 30 years as an Operating Room Nurse retiring from there. She did volunteer work for the Life Line Program at the hospital and also at the Smith Opera.

Tessie was an avid sportsman who enjoyed bowling and skiing in her younger years. She also enjoyed golf and tennis into her late 80's, winning several trophies and a hole in one to her credits. She loved spending time with her friends playing cards, golfing with friends and family at Seneca Lake Country Club, but most of all spending time with family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Anthony "Pete" Petrucci Jr. (Mary) of Geneva; grandchildren, Lynn Mattice (Kyle) of Geneva, Anthony "Tony" Petrucci (Tara), Christine O'Regan (Ian) Cork of Ireland; seven great-grandchildren, Zoe and Zack Mattice of Geneva, Stella, Evie and Joseph Petrucci ofGeneva, and Adam and Allie O'Regan Cork of Ireland; her sisters Anna Wunschel of Louden TN and Mary Rose Monroe of Waterloo, NY.

She is predeceased by her sister, Sylvia Huffman and brother, John Bruno.

Sorry to hear about your Mom´s passing. A really nice lady and a great sports enthusiast. I can see your Mom and Dad in many fairways at SLCC. They truly enjoyed each other and the game. My prayers are with them both.
