Warren Smith Obituary

GENEVA – Warren E. Smith, 71, of Geneva, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday 9November 2, 2017 0 in Geneva General Hospital.

Friends may call at DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main St., Geneva, from 10 a.m. till 12 noon on Monday (November 6). Funeral Services will follow at 12 noon in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

Memorial contributions, in his memory, may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.

Warren was born in Geneva and was a lifelong resident. He was the son of the late Warren and Thalia Lazenby Smith. He worked for various companies in the area. He was a former member of the Big M Gun Club, Sons of Italy, and the Finger Lakes Moose Lodge #823. He was an outdoorsman where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He volunteered at several organizations in the area including the Center of Concern.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Geraldine Smith; brothers and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews whom he treated like his own children and his cousin, Victor (Rose) Smith of Interlaken;

He was predeceased by his wife of thirty-five years, Louise Deledonne Smith; his daughter, Sheryl Pechawer; his twin brother, Warner Smith and his sisters Naomi Heim, Juanita Potter and his brother, Richard Potter.
