William Riddle Obituary
Born in Erie, Pa., to William "Red" Riddle and Rita Zimmerman Riddle, Bill attended DeSales High School in Geneva, N.Y., where he played football for the Saints as #18.
Bill moved to Arizona in 1961 and graduated from ASU. His career started as a Radiologic Technologist at Phoenix Good Samaritan Hospital and proceeded to become the Director of Radiology at Phoenix General Hospital.
In the 1980s Bill and his mother, Rita, opened a Mexican restaurant in Phoenix, Ariz. ,called Valle Luna Mexican Restaurants. Now having four locations throughout the Valley, his policy to treat employees as family added to the huge success of Valle Luna.
Bill continued to give back, supporting many community organizations. He helped committees succeed and exceed in their goals. He is deeply respected and loved by the entire community. A family and businessman, full of wit and good humor, he filled us all with a spirit of joy.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Janie; daughters Michelle (Owen), Reda (Rob), Joey (Jesse), and son Bill IV (Karen); and 10 grandchildren. Also his sister, Laura Gates (Rusty).
Always loved and will never be forgotten.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at CCV Church North Phoenix, 15025 N. 19th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85023.

Bill was two years ahead of me at DeSales and a wonderful friend. He was,a very special person . He actually took me to a semi formal dance . I think my brother talked him into it. I always look back to our friendship and count myself lucky to have known him. He was a very special person . My condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

I went to school with Bill at DeSales, he was a year ahead. Always friendly. We had great get togethers for 10 years in Arizona. Janie and Bill were always great hosts. He will be missed. Prayers to all his family.
