Years ago I joined Ben´s friends for a week at the beach at Edisto, SC. While surf-casting, I hooked a good fish and brought it in. Ben walked up and without saying a word, unhooked my fish and walked to the beach house. I caught up moments later and found Ben cooking the breaded fish fillets in a frying pan. That fast! I cherish the memory and mourn his passing.

I met Benny at Boy Scouts Troop 39 when we were around 12 years old. We spent years camping ,hiking , canoeing .tent mates at Rainey Mountain Boy Scout Camp (it rained all week thanks to a passing hurricane). I went to the only Forsyth County High School at the time with Ben. Benny was a great friend to many people and a very smart person. He drew a beautiful set of plans for our home to fit on an existing basement home. I am sad to find out about Benny's passing he will be missed by many people. Glad to meet Paula and Benny at our last class reunion. Thank you Paula for being there for my friend Benny.

Paula, my thoughts are with you. Ben was a good friend at GaTech architecture school and in Cumming when I moved there in '91. I was so amazed at his constant activity in the outdoors. I am fond of my personal trips with him that included shooting clay targets on his relatives' property- before Cumming was overdeveloped, and to N.Georgia for camping & trout fishing (War Woman Dell). He was a talented designer and a great influence on me for art, design, music, writers, etc. I hope you are at peace. I will miss him.

Truly a gentle giant. Graduated high school together.
Benny did an amazing design for the main entrance to our first house. I know he will be missed by many.

I was on the drill team and Benny was such a fun, gentle friend to all! Saw him some years back at a bluegrass festival. He made a large impact on so many and will be missed!
