Edward Pinson Obituary

Mr. Edward "Ed" Lee Pinson, age 76, of Gainesville passed away Monday, April 18, 2011, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Pinson was born in Hall County and was a lifelong resident. He was born to the late Claude Thomas Pinson Sr. and Dixie Lee Pinson. He graduated from Lyman Hall High School and coached youth football for a number of years at Gainesville Mill Elementary School. He worked a number of years at Gainesville Pure Milk, Better Maid Milk and Coble Milk Company and also operated Pinson Catering in Athens until retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Landers Pinson; and his brothers, C.T. Pinson and Bryson Pinson.
Survivors include his son and fiancée, Phillip Pinson and Denise Blount of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Jerry Kinsey of Cumming; grandchildren, Kyle, Josh, and Drew Kinsey of Cumming, David Blount of Gainesville, Amy and Scott Rowell of Miami, Fla.; brother, Robert Pinson of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Hoyt and Mildred Pinson of Gainesville; sister, Kathleen Abernathy of Gainesville; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 20, at 2 p.m. in the Ward's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Pinson officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, April 19, from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
