Gene Burch Obituary

Gene Burch, 83, of Cumming passed away at Northside Hospital Forsyth on Sept. 15, 2009. He was the son of the late Lelia and Howard Burch.
A longtime member of Parkway Presbyterian Church, he retired from Georgia Pacific (Atlanta) in 1987, where he was sales manager. Gene volunteered with the Northeast Georgia Chapter of the Red Cross.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marian Burch of Cumming; son, Larry Burch, of Cumming; daughter, Joyce Burch Quick of Palmetto; and sister, Florence Jones of Las Altos, Calif.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, at Parkway Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Red Cross, Northeast Georgia Chapter, 311 Jesse Jewell Parkway, S.W., Suite 102, Gainesville, GA 30503-3370 or (770)532-8453.
