Mr. Richard Allen Lewis, age 83, of Barnes Road, Jackson, Georgia, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025. Allen was born on Wednesday, August 5, 1942, in Forsyth County to the late Equilla "Buck" Lewis and the late Elsie Mae Hyde Lewis. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Paula Annette Lewis. Allen was a veteran of the United States Army. He was the former owner of Middle Georgia Livestock Company, and the current owner of Lewis Cattle Company. Allen was an avid UGA Bulldog fan. He loved everything western, and loved to travel, especially out west. In high school, while playing running back, he was known as "crazy legs Lewis". Allen is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Samples Lewis; sons and daughters-in-law, Rich & Angie Lewis, Michael & Lisa Lewis; grandchildren, Brannon Brooks, Walt Lewis, Lane Lewis, Morgan Collins, Jake Lewis and Rylee Lewis; nine great-grandchildren; brother and sister-law, Barry & Connie Lewis; special cousin, Beth Young; several other cousins; nieces & nephews. A funeral service for Mr. Allen Lewis will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Towaliga Baptist Church with Mr. Rudy Mangham and Reverend Paul Zahn officiating. Interment will follow in the Towaliga Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family prior to the service from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the church.
