Dustin Eugene Ferguson passed away unexpectedly on May 11, 2023, in Ft Morgan. Dustin was born November 20, 1984 in
Ft. Morgan, CO to Richard and Deb (Groves) Ferguson. Dustin grew up in Ft Morgan where he attended school until middle school. He then transferred to WeldonValley where he graduated in 2003. From an early age Dustin had a passion for Peterbilts and driving trucks. He grew up always riding in the passenger seat of his Dad Rich's truck or as a passenger of his Grandpa Fergie's truck. Rumor has it that he could back up a truck and pot belly trailer, to the chute at age 5 better than any adult. He might have made his dad some money by winning a few bets. At the age of 16 he started driving truck on his own. At the age of 18 he made his dreams come true and bought his first truck and trailer as well as starting Ferguson Express. As soon as he turned 21, he was able to start driving out of state. His passion for driving truck and his love for travel made for a very successful business. Through his many years of driving truck, Dustin touched many people's lives and was well respected. At the time of his death, he had grown his business to 15 trailers and was dispatching up to 25 trucks. Dustin's other love in life was his family and friends. He was known for being a jokester, the best hug giver, or the guy who would give you the shirt of his back. He was one of a kind, always there checking on family and friends. Dustin loved camping trips, fishing, and most of all boating with his family and friends. Dustin also loved to travel and was able to visit all but 2 states. He is lovingly remembered by his family and friends for the pride he took in the cleanliness of his truck, pickup, and boat, and for the unprecedented work ethic that was always present. His three girls held a very special place in his heart. He had the best smile and a laugh that everyone loved so much. Dustin left behind his Mom Deb of Ft. Morgan CO. His daughters Kylee Irwin, Alexis (Ali) Ferguson, Bailey Ferguson, and their mother Amber Schoenberg all of SterlingCO. His sister Kortney (Chase Grooms), nephew Lincoln Grooms and niece Austyn Grooms all of
Ft Morgan, CO, and his Grandpa Dick Ferguson of Ft. Morgan CO. He was preceded in death by his Dad Rich Ferguson, his Grandma Marge Ferguson, and his Grandparents Jess and Alyce Groves. A sincere and special thank you goes out to Philip Whittum and his family.
