Gerald Shaver Obituary
Gerald Edward Shaver, 67, of Weldona, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022 at his home. He was born October 9, 1955 to Gerald & Mildred Shaver in Fort Morgan. Gerald lived in Weldona all of his life except for a few years he lived in Fort Morgan. He graduated from Weldon Valley School in 1973 and married Kathy Parachini on August 17, 1974. Gerald & Kathy had two sons, Tony and Travis. Gearld worked at Wickham Tractor Co., he ran the Valley Repair Shop in Weldona, and then he worked for the Weldon Valley School until he started his remodeling business. He had a lot of stories to tell about the farmers he worked for, repairing tractors and other farm equipment. He was an excellent carpenter and woodworker, the proof being in the work he did. He could fix anything and took on any challenge. Gerald enjoyed fishing and going to the mountains, working on racecars with Tony, attending Travis' football games, and hanging out at Valley Repair, drinking beer with his friends. His greatest love, which brought him the most joy, was being a grandpa. Gerald is survived by his wife, Kathy Shaver; sons, Tony Shaver, Travis (Emily) Shaver; grandchildren, Peyton Saver, Tucker Shaver, Tyler (Diana) Stark, Riley Shaver, and Rio Shaver; great grandson, Camden Stark; sister, Nita (Don) Taylor; sisters-in-law, Violet Shaver, Lori Parachini, Jeanne (Ed) Richardson, and Marylyn (Dan) Riddle; nieces, Vicky Dennis, Michelle (Drake) Carr, Renae (Shawn) Loos, and Michelle Anderson; and nephews, Tom (Barb) Richardson, and Eric (Shannon) Riddle; and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald & Mildred Shaver; his brothers, Butch Shaver and Ronny Shaver; his brother-in-law, Joe Parachini; and father and mother-in-law, Tony & Andrena Parachini. A memorial service will be at Weldon Valley School, 911 North Ave. in Weldona on Saturday, November 12th at 11:00 AM.
