Brian Chamberlain Obituary

DR. BRIAN LEE CHAMBERLAIN, of Austin, Texas, went to be with his Lord Tuesday, March 24, 2009 (one day after his 53rd birthday), at home. He passed peacefully after a six month battle with cancer. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Wanda (Strong) and the late Paul Chamberlain. He moved to Arizona shortly after his graduation from Elmhurst High School. "Brian touched many people with his sincerity, generosity of spirit, wisdom, sense of humor, big welcoming smile and sheer love of life, music and nature." He loved to play his keyboards and drums, hike, travel, cave dive, and enjoy nature. He lives on in the hearts of his wife/ soulmate, Glenda; children, Krystel, Danielle, Ryan, and Arianna, all of Austin; brothers, Paul (Lin) of Fort Wayne, Dr. Rick (Leslie) of Columbus, Ind. and David (Julie) of Midland, Texas; stepchildren, Clint and Mollie Flanagan; and many beloved friends, fellow-musicians and family members. Memorial service is 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to contribute to the cause of donor's choice in Brian's name.

From another Elmhurst classmate - Brian was always the "kid to know" with his charming personality. My prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

I recall Brian from Elmhurst High School, where I was also a student. Brian was always "up," chipper, and positive. I wish his family and friends many best wishes and prayers. May he be at rest with his Lord. Phyllis (Phyl) Martin Hedges. 04/14/2009
