BRIAN SHEPHERD Obituary

BRIAN LEE SHEPHERD, 52, of Fort Wayne, was called home in peace on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, Born April 16, 1965 in Fort Wayne, he was a son of Tonya Fanning and the late Lincoln Shepherd Sr. He worked in construction and at National SERV-All for many years. Brian was skilled in bowling, music, and cars, enjoyed traveling and had a love for fishing, hunting, playing cards, and spending time with his grandkids and family. He was a loving family man that worked hard to take care of his children and didn't mind lending a helping hand. Also surviving are his brothers Vernon Shepherd and Lincoln Shepherd Jr.; sisters, Karyn Guthrie and April Workman; sons, Contreil Hogan Sr. and Lincoln Shepherd; daughters, Shaquay Shepherd and Bria Shepherd; grandchildren, Brian, Trevian, Amiyah, Camrie, Contreil Jr., Kyrie, and Kiah; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at Fellowship Missionary Church, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Visitation also from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.

My condolences to Brians family. I am deeply sadden to know that my cousin Brian left this life to be in the present of the lord. Brian is at home with his son Brian Jr, father Lincoln, Big Ma, Uncle Sam, aunty Nicole, aunty OraD & uncle Charles and many other uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends - I can only imagine the Welcome Home reunion they are having with my cousin.
I will miss his big light up the world smiling face and laughter.
Remember no matter what may come your way, Jesus will always do what is best for you!
