Carolyn Reincke Obituary

Carolyn Edna (Scheiderer) Reincke, 86, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on October 18, 1938. The former nurse epitomized the role of wife and matriarch and mastered the art of service.

A devoted mother to four children, Carolyn shared Jesus with them and dedicated herself to loving and supporting them. She exemplified her walk with Christ by faithfully singing in the church choir and volunteering at school events where her husband served. Carolyn found joy while gardening, and she found purpose and healing in counseling other mothers who had lost children.

Carolyn is survived by her twin brother, Carroll (Sharon) Scheiderer; children Tami (Mark) Fisher, John (Karen) Reincke, and Doug Reincke; her grandchildren Anna (RJ), Ashley (Kaleb), Alexis (Kevin), Malachi, and Lazarus; and great-grandchildren Benaiah, Olive, Sutton, and one expected. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Eleanor (Huge) Scheiderer; her husband, J. Neil; and her son, Mark. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Carolyn will lie in state at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne on Thursday, June 12, at 10:00 am, followed by a service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be contributed to Tuition Funds for Concordia Lutheran High School and St. Paul Lutheran Grade School.

Tammy, John and Doug,

Suzanne and I rejoice that your mom has won the Victory over sin, death and the devil and is experiencing eternity with your brother, Mark, and your father, J. Neil.
She was a woman of faith and shared great compassion with everyone...except the guy that fouled John or Doug on the basketball court!
Suzanne and I are honored to have known your family.

Tami, John and Doug- I loved your mom so much. She was the kindest woman and so sweet to our family. I loved visiting with her one on one and have such fond memories of our times together at the lake- she had the best laugh. Hugs to you all as you navigate your loss and may you find peace in your memories. Love, Martha (McFadden) Hampel
