DONNA JEAN SCHERER, 77, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. Born March 31, 1945, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Gertrude (Hermann) Scherer. She worked as a title examiner for Commonwealth Dreibelbiss Title Company Inc. She was a member at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, as well as the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed bowling in her free time. Surviving family are her two nephews, Eric and Kevin Hixson; brother-in-law, Dennis; and many other family and friends. Besides her parents, Jean was preceded in passing by her sister, Gwendolyn Kay Hixson in April of 2020. Memorial service is 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, 2022, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 7710 E. State Blvd., Fort Wayne, with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior. Inurnment will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne at a later time.
