DAVID LOUIS HARPER

DAVID LOUIS HARPER, 79, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at Glen brook Rehabilitation Center. Born on June 16, 1934, in Marion, Ind., he was a son of the late Oscar and Edna Harper. After serving in the U.S. Army, David worked as a salesman for Highland Park Cemetery. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Karen Harper of Fort Wayne; sons, Danny Harper of Fort Wayne, James Harper of Louisville, Ky., David (Mary) Harper and Douglas (Vera) Harper, both of Fort Wayne; daughter, Jackie (David) Webb of Fort Wayne; brothers, Donald Harper, Paul (Pat) Harper and Carl Harper; and nine grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his best friend, Dan Widner. Memorial service is from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at Advantage Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2403 E. Wallen Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46825). Burial to follow service in Highland Park Cemetery. Preferred memorials may be made to Karen Harper.
