I was sad to hear of the news of Dean's death. I previously worked in a position that I would have to contact Dean. I would come in on the early shift and I could always depend on Dean to be at work early too. Anytime I called him for help he would not hesitate to stop what he was doing to help me. He will be missed.
I pray that God give you strength during this time.

I worked with Dean at Parkview. I keep a candy jar on my desk, and Dean would come over to my desk every day to say Hello, and get a piece (or 3!) of candy. I always tried to make sure there were Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in there, because those were his favorite. The Friday before he died he made a comment that he really enjoyed the square Kraft caramels. I told him that those were hard to find until the fall when people start making caramel apples. I saw some on Saturday when I was out shopping, and I bought them especially for him. They are in the jar right now, and I can't help thinking that he knows they are there.
He and I also always talked about great new restaurants to try. It was because of Dean that a friend and I drove to Decatur a few weeks ago to try a really fabulous place downtown.
I'll miss our morning chats about nothing important!
