Derek it's been 12 days since you've left this world to walk the street's of gold with God in heaven. I MISS you so very badly and my heart aches. What seems to help me is, knowing your smiling down on us all. I Love You Son and you will always forever be in my thought's and my Heart. I Love You Derek.

You were so small when you came into my life. You, your brother, and father were a god send to me and Katie. We were an instant family,just add love. Over the years watching you, your brother and sister grow, learn, discover, play, love, defend, were some of the best years of my life. When you moved to Indiana, my life and Katie's life was crushed. Katie and I tried to pick up the pieces after you guys left. It was hard. I knew I didn't lose you then. I have not lost you now. You will live forever in my heart and my soul.

Derek, it me... your cousin Arizona. I love you cousin. My heart will long for you for a while, but I know you are happy. But most of all I want to say I feel much more sympathy for Corey, and uncle Chad. I didn't see you a lot, but they lived with you. We are all so sad for your loss. Derek was so percious to us, as was Cory. We cherish the years that we spent being a part of Derek's & Cory's life, when Derek, Cory & Katie were growing up together. I grew up with Derek from age two. Him, my dad (Chad), and my brother Cory may not have been blood, but they were the closest things me and my mom (Lori Sowers) have ever had, and could ever want. Derek will always be in my heart and soul, and always was. Rest in Peace to my amazing brother, and my heart is with my dad and Cory.

I just found out today that the world lost this angel. I have such sorrow looking back on the years I have known him. He was like a son to me, hanging out with my boys before we moved away. I just informed the boys and am waiting for a respones back, but know they will be torn to know that they have lost him. Derek, you will be so missed, by so many. Even though we lost touch, you still have been in my thoughts and memories. I am so sorry this has happened to your family, they are in my heart and prayers. God just got a beautiful angel!
