Dear Bobbi and Family,
With a heavy heart, I wish to express my sympathy for the passing of Flo. I will always remember his humor, talent and friendship, and I will always regret that so much time passed and I never told him how much I valued that friendship. With fond memories of the old Muncie days, thoughts of Flo will always bring a smile to our face. Please know that you all are in my prayers.

DeWayne was a very special part of my youth and one of my dearest friends during that time. We formed a bond early in junior high and it remained every time we saw each other at a reunion. I know his family was the most important aspect of his life as he beamed when he spoke of you. He had a deep love for Bobbi. He will be missed by so many people as he touched many lives. My prayers will continue for you.

Dear Bobbi and family,

I had to great pleasure and privilege of acting on stage with DeWayne in "The Music Man" for Marion Civic Theater several years ago. He was awesome to watch on stage...what a commanding presence! I learned so much about stage presence from him. And what a kind, generous soul...I will never forget working with him. He was also a favorite of my late husband Jim. Jim held DeWayne in very high esteem as a person as well as an actor.

I am holding you all in my heart at this time, and you will be in my prayers. It's amazing how the Lord sees us through times like these. Rest assured He is with you and will never leave you.

Sent with love,

Florea Family--

DeWayne was a good friend of my brother, Jeff Hopkins, growing up in Marion. The last time I saw him was last November at Jeff's funeral. He was so kind to my mom and our family and we were so sorry to hear about his passing. May God bless you all as you try to pick up all the pieces of "this broken road" you now travel. I am glad that I had the opportunity to know DeWayne. He was very talented as he sang and performed in High School and he was a great friend to my brother and our family. This world was a better place because of him! You will continue to be in our prayers.

Dear Natalie and the Florea Family,

I am so sad to hear about DeWayne. I know we only got to know each other planning Natalie's wedding, but it was obvious that you were a very close and loving family.

DeWayne was one of the most special Dad's I have ever worked with. He was so excited for you Natalie!! He loved helping you plan the reception. He told me when he came in to see the Hall that he did not how all the details of his own wedding were handled because all he did was show up on time, but he now had a new appreciation for the whole process and he laughed!!

I will never forget how kind he was the night of your reception to me thanking me over and over for everything I had done and telling me how wonderful it all was with genuine tears in his eyes. He loved seeing you that happy!!

May all the special memories you had together get you through this very difficult time. God Bless all the Florea family and friends who will miss him everyday.

Bobbi and family,
I am sorry to hear about your tragic loss. What came to my mind was the story you told Jeff about your dog, and about DeWayne going out and finding another one for you to ease your pain. What a loving husband and father he must have been. May God bless you and your family now in your time of sorrow. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Affectionately, Sara

Bobbi & family:
I wish we had the words to comfort you, but there are none. When my Mom died suddenly, the only words I could cling to were that God has a plan, and we may not understand His plan, but we must trust Him and His plan. I also believe that if she had a choice, she would choose to remain in heaven with Our Father. She has eternal happiness. So does DeWayne. It doesn't heal the heart, but we hope it helps. May God comfort you and carry you through this burden and tremendous loss.

Dear Florea Family,

Dewayne and I worked together at V&F in the early 1980's. We have been competitors all since then, but friendly competitors. Dewayne was a good and honorable man. He was smart, funny, and had a great personality. We should all strive to live our lives as good as Dewayne did. He leaves us with a hole in our hearts, but also with many great and lasting memories. We are sorry for your loss. He shall be missed.

Respectfully,

Bobbi and family,

We wish to extend sincere sympathy to you. We never really knew DeWayne but noticed that you and DeWayne usually sat in the pew ahead or behind us at church. I always noticed how lovingly he would place his arm around you or in the small of your back. He had such a kind feeling about him. About a month ago he sat behind us with one of your daughters and he showed the same kindness with her.
Your family is in our prayers.

Bobbi,Natalie,Audra and Patrick,
I am so sorry for you all!

DeWayne was such an absolute character and I mean that in the most positive way. We have only great memories of performing with him, laughing with(at) him and spending time with all of you.

Sam has lost a wonderful Godfather and we all have lost a wonderful friend, but I'll bet Jesus and the angels are having great laughs with Flo there.

Love and prayers,
