Grandpa you are missed dearly everyday. You left us 11 years ago and it sure doesn't feel like it's been that long ago. I miss coming over and being in the garage with you asking questions on what you are doing. I wish we could have had a closer granddaughter/grandfather relationship but I still cherish what we did have. I thank you for being my grandpa. I love you and glad that you have grandma with you even though we miss her and wish she was still here and wish you was here too. You are never forgotten and always in our hearts.

Grandpa:
Today I was thinking about you and wondering if you could hear me talking to God. Grandma is sick and missing you like crazy. It is going to be tough for her to keep going everyday without you here. But I want you to be rest assured that I am going to keep checking in with her and keep my eye on her. I know that you will be keeping your eye on her too. Let her know in some way that you are still with her in her heart and that you loved her very much. I know that she would like to see a sign from you just once at least. I love you and miss you also. will talk more later

Grandpa:
Getting close to you the last 2 years of your life was good times. It made me feel good and loved by you for the first time in my life when you told me that you loved me and appreciated everything I do for you and grandma.I know I wasn't there much in the last 6 months but I still love you. It broke my heart to see you getting sicker and sicker but my heart now feels releived that you don't have to feel the pain and heartache no more. My heart still feels sad that you are not here but at the same time I know that you are out of misery and with the Lord.Today I found myself wanting to call grandma or Mary to ask how you were doing and I had to stop myself.Just don't give people a hard time in Heaven and let everyone we knew know that we love them and will miss them as we do you. I was always have a part of you with me in my heart and always love you. I'll be glad when the day comes and I get to come dance with you in Heaven and see your smile again.

As we have left grandpa at his resting place, the tears we wept. Our knees got weak, we trembled inside, and felt grandmas pain as she let you go. But upon waking this day after and looking at the beautiful rose color in the sky and the sun began to rise, I knew that this was the possibility of many things. It was a beautiful sky and that was just a sign to me that you were at peace and having a great day. Or it was the rose color reflecting off your cheeks as you laughed and wandered the endless heavens. Anyway I think about it I know this was you shining down on me. To let us know this was a good place, and everything is good. As we laid you to rest, the sun began to shine. The tears began to dry, for you have found that happiness like you have never known before. We love you forever and always.

God looked around his garden
and He found an empty place,
And then He looked down upon the earth
and saw your tired face.

He put His arms around you
and lifted you to rest,
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain,
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough
and the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered "Peace be Thine."

It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

Goodbye Grandpa:

So heaven has received another angel
The night sky another star,
Your life has become a loving memory
We know you will never be far.

We know you are watching over us
As our lives go on,
We will treasure the memories we have of you,
We can't believe your gone.

You were a loving, caring grandpa
You were there for us a lot,
You will always hold a place in our heart
A loving treasured spot.

You were really one in a million
A cut above the rest,
All that knew you, would agree
You simply were the best.

So grandpa, we will say goodbye
We love and miss you with all our heart
But as long as we have our loving memories
We will never be too far apart.
Love always, Your Grandchildren!!

Grandpa:
I love you and will miss you dearly but I know that you will always remain in my heart. You are a good man who enjoyed many things including muzzle loading, race car, going to friendship every year, and getting out with your friends. You enjoyed laughing with the family and spending time with us. We all enjoyed being able to spend time and talk with you. I know that you are with other family members on our side and your side and laughing and sharing stories together. I am glad that I got the oppurtunity to share times with you especially the last year and talk to you about things. I love you always.

There was no better man to call grandpa then this gentle man. He was a great teacher, a man of many skills and knowledge. He was a man that loved to tinker with stuff. Man of many tools. If you asked, "wheres grandpa?" the answer would be, "in the garage."
He taught me many things. He showed me many things the times that we spent in the garage together. He would share old stories with me about things he would remember and we bonded in those moments. I will always love him for that.
I am so blessed to have the memories I do have of him. Blessed to be influenced and taught by him. Next to my dad, there is no better man that ever walked this earth in my eyes, then this gentle man I called grandpa.
I will never forget the great memories of my life that were shared with this man whom I loved dearly. Grandpa- you will be missed but always loved!
