Donald Eugene "Don" Koop

Donald "Don" Eugene Koop, 77, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 26, 1948, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Don proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Oklahoma City. Don is survived by his wife, Sue (Boone); his children, Christian (Jen) Koop and Emily (Scott) Miller; and his beloved grandchildren, Nevada Lenwell, Westin Miller, Paxton Miller, and Harrison Koop. He is also survived by his sister, Judy Smith; mother-in-law, Mae Boone; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Christian and Kathryn Koop; and his brother, Edward Koop. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 16933 Thiele Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819, with visitation beginning at 9:00 am.
