Donna Carpenter Obituary

DONNA E. CARPENTER, 87, of Monroeville, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, 10:02 a.m., at Village of Heritage, Monroeville. Born April 15, 1918, in Van Wert County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Cloyd and Ada (Lautzen-hiser) Byer. She was a member of Monroeville United Methodist Church, Eastern Star and Monroeville American Legion Auxiliary, where she held many offices. She was a homemaker. Survived by sons, Billy D. (Susie) Carpenter of Monroeville and Donny R. (Roxann) Carpenter of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter, Esther Ann on Sept. 23, 2001; two brothers, Harold and Cloyd Byer; and sisters, Lois McCrory, Fawn Edwards, Louise Byer and Glenda Byer. Service is 1 p.m. Monday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, with calling one hour prior to service. The Rev. Janet Luchs officiating. Calling is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial at Willshire Cemetery, Willshire, Ohio. Memorials to Village of Heritage, Family Hospice of Northeast Indiana or Monroeville American Legion Post 420.
