I had the pleasure of working with Earl at Indiana Tech and getting to know him. He was an avid student himself, always thirsting for more knowlege of things technical.
I would usually see him at a home baseball game enjoying the afternoon and usually made it a point to say hello when I could.
Earl, you will be greatly missed at Indiana Tech. May God grant you His Peace in His ever-loving arms of our Saviour!

Even though I did not have any classes that Prof. Devlin taught, I knew him from being on the campus and working part time at tech. He will be missed. He was a very gentle, intelligent and friendly person. May he rest in peace!

I had the pleasure of working with Prof. Devlin for 30+ yrs and I too enjoyed his stories. He would often visit me in my office to discuss Notre Dame and always asked about my son-in-law who was one of his students and a another New Jersey guy. May he rest in pease

I had several classes with Prof. Devlin and appreciated his support while we were reforming the Tech baseball team in '90-91. He would let us slip out of class for practice and cover the material with us later when needed. He will be missed.

I had many different classes with Mr. Devlin while I was at Tech. And he did have a love for baseball and always followed and supported the tech team, along with other sports. We as students had a lot of interesting stories while taking his classes. I remember in his spare time he used to watch videos of prominent engineering professors and Mr. Devlin would have 4 or 5 text books and research books out and he would pause the video and feverishly look things up to dispute what was being said. He used to do this all the time. Here are a few things that those that went to school with me will know what I am talking about right Julie, like EZ-E, Ear-Ear-Earl (smash and trash), String week and non-string week, the two apartments etc. Mr. Earl Devlin, you will always be a true Warrior and will always be remembered. Thanks for your dedication to Tech and the many students you taught. My you rest in God’s peace and we will see you again. Kerry Coyne CpE '94
