EDITH ROSE HACKETT, 87, of rural Allen County, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, at Renaissance Village in Fort Wayne. Surviving include her husband of 69 years, Merrill Hackett; sons, Dennis (Mary) Hackett, Gary (Cheryl) Hackett and Steven (Sheryl) Hackett; brothers, Gordon (Judith) Auld and Warren (Gloria) Auld; sisters, Doris (Gene) Bender and Alma (Robert) Fritz; grandsons, Abraham (Emily) Hackett, Zachary (Lindsay) Hackett, Jacob (Alisha) Hackett, Tyler and Keith Hackett; five great-grandsons, and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clyde and Earl Auld; and sister, Vera Fairchild. Service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, with calling one hour prior to the funeral.
