ELIZABETH K. BIEBER

ELIZABETH K. BIEBER, 85, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2009, in Markle. Born Jan. 2, 1924, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Mary Lerch Bireley. She is survived by her daughter, Judith (Phillip) Krom of Markle; sons, James (Kim) Bieber of Greenville, Ind., Joseph (Nancy) Bieber of Fort Wayne and Jack Porter of Amarillo, Texas; many grandchildren, great-grand-children and great-great-grand-children; and her felines, Blue and Blackie. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Bieber on June 23, 2000; brothers, Robert and Richard; and sister, Rita Roller. "A special thanks to Hospice Home Care for making her final days peaceful." Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, with Chaplain Robert Gonser officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial to follow service in Covington Memorial Gardens. The family's preferred memorial is Markle Volunteer Fire & Rescue.
