Emma M. Martin

EMMA M. MARTIN, 93, of Geneva, died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at Swiss Village, Berne. Born Aug. 12, 1909 in Adams County, she was a member of Cross United Church of Christ, Berne, and a homemaker. Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Ray (Marlene) Gill of Berne; son, Robert Martin of Marion; a sister, Osie Johnson of Orville, Ohio; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Mary Myers Striker; brothers, Clifton, Daniel, Clyde, Doit, Robert; and sisters, Lulu Hannie, Jesse Anderson, Margaret Stanley and Irene Stahly. Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cross United Church of Christ with the Rev. Randall Luther officiating, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling is also from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Yager-Kirchofer Funeral Home, Berne. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorials to Cross United Methodist Church or Northeast Indiana Hospice.
