Everett Turner Obituary

Everett Wayne Turner, 93, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away at his home on January 28, 2025, Wayne was born in Hannibal, MO, October 11, 1931, son of the late Everett and Delphia Turner. He was married to Mary JoAnn Mudd on October 21, 1950. She preceded him in death on March 26, 2005. He is survived by his three sons and one daughter, Gerry W. of Hudson, IN; Larry A. of Canton, GA; Brenda S. Miller of Columbia City, IN; Darrin S. of Jefferson, IA. Mr. Turner as leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Turner graduated from Hannibal HS in 1949 and from the American Institute of Baking in Chicago in 1967. He was a baker for his entire career, working in or managing bakeries in Hannibal, Ottumwa, IA, Elkart, IN, Fargo, ND, San Jose, CA, and Norfolk VA.

Mr. Turner retired in Norfolk in 1996 and returned to Hannibal. After his wife passed he moved to Fort Wayne to be near his adult children. Subsequently, he married a second time to Norma Berkes and with that acquired 5 stepchildren.

He was an awesome Dad who loved his kids, grandkids, great grandkids. His love of family was rivaled closely by his love of riding his motorcycle. He was a great example to all in his words and actions Midwest Funeral Home & Cremation Society
