GARFIELD MARTIN BREWER II, 82, transitioned peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021. Born Aug. 3, 1939, in Clarks ville, Tenn., he was a son of the late Garfield M. Sr. and Cecile K. Brewer. After graduating from Historic Burt High School in 1957, he relocated to Fort Wayne where he spent the remainder of a full and well lived life. He was a dedicated employee for SuperValu for over 40 years. He attended and served at Christ Church of Faith and Divine Faith Baptist Church. Both ministries were an important part of his Christian experience. He left a legacy many aspire to achieveone of unconditional love, compassion, and kindness. His life truly embodied the scripture Ephesians 4:32. "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as Christ God forgave you." He was a beloved brother, father, grandfather to a large, blended family who will miss him dearly. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Garfield Martin Brewer III of Springhill, Fla., Askia "Ike" Brewer of Tampa, Fla., Valerie (Roderick) Cunningham of Tampa, Fla., Dante (Michele) Woodson of Tampa, Fla., Taylor Vargas of Fort Wayne, and Ezekiel Wade Tun of Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Shaquil Brewer of Fort Wayne; siblings, Cecile J. Brewer of Fort Wayne and Wayne W. Brewer of Hayward, Calif.; friend, Roxanne Charlton; and a host of grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Garfield was preceded in death by his daughter, Marsha Thomas; and former wives, Latrisia Brewer and Cheryl Richard-Townsend. There will be no services per his request. Garfield's final arrangements were entrusted to Nelson Memorial Gardens.

This was kind of a beautiful love story of sad and hard times and losses but what I loved they were a family The brewers Now a little bit of Sr Garfield in them and gentle side of elegant Mrs C Brewer so please pray for family for the loss of their brother. Gloria & Family

I am so sorry for the loss of your brother of such a nice and caring family and he will be truly missed by all that new him we offer prayers and a silence thought to just think about how good the Lord Almighty has been to all of us for in his mansion there's many rooms all that believeth in him shall enter Jesus Christ pray
