Gladys M. Hart
GLADYS M. HART, 85, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at The Laurels of Dekalb-Butler. Born Dec. 31, 1921, in New ville, Ind., she was the daughter of Lloyd and Thelma (Benning hoff) Keener. She graduated from St. Joe High School. She married James A. Hart on Sept. 6, 1940; he preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 2003. She was a lifelong homemaker and enjoyed her grandchildren, sewing, needlepoint, gardening and playing the accordion. She was a member of Coburn Corners Church of Christ, St. Joe where she taught children's Sunday school for many years. She was also a Home Economic Club member. She is survived by three sons, William D. (Phyllis) of Springfield, Ohio, Gary L. (Roberta) of Harlan and Dennis G. (Karen) of St. Joe; a daughter, Evon S. (special friend, Cecil Hulese) Hart of Auburn; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry L. Keener of Butler; and two sisters, Deloris Inlow of Fort Wayne and Shirley Fritz of Hicksville, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sue Ann. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Monday at Coburn Corners Church of Christ, with visitation after 9 a.m. Doug Holley and Brian Wilcox officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, 706 N. Main St., Hicksville, Ohio. Burial in Newville Cemetery. Memorials to the church.
