Gordon Chapman Obituary

GORDON DENT CHAPMAN, 96, of Columbia City, passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006. Born April 11, 1910, in Muscatine, Iowa, he was the son of the late Lewis LeRoy and Ada (Raber) Chapman. Surviving are his children, Toban (Jill) Chapman of Columbia City, Christian "Chris" (Debbie) Chapman of Fort Wayne and Dena (Ralph) Dickey of Warsaw; two grandsons, Timothy G. (Cassie) and Tyler J. Chapman. He was also preceded in death by his wife; two sons, Timothy and Charles Chapman; two brothers, John and Gale Chapman; and two sisters, Helen Rice and Lois Householder. Memorial service is 3 p.m. Sunday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, with visitation with the family is from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. Private burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Columbia City Peabody Library.
