HELEN C. BOSCHET

1937 - 2022

HELEN C. BOSCHET, 85, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Born Feb. 17, 1937, in St. Joe, she was a daughter of the late Hollis and Josephine (Bechtel) Akins. She retired in 1997 from General Electric and she enjoyed crossword puzzles, camping, traveling, and spending time with her family. She worked hard her whole life, and yet always made time to be a great mother, raising six kids. She had a soft heart for animals, rescuing several throughout the years. She is survived by her children, Susan Hull of Fort Wayne, David (Janet) Boschet of Eustis, Fla., Deborah (Karl) Bielan of Wittmann, Ariz., Thomas Boschet of Fort Wayne, Linda Boschet of Fort Wayne, and Diana Ervin, of Fort Wayne; and grandchildren, Jeremy Hardwick, Andre Hull and Dana Ervin, and Taylor Abdon, all of Fort Wayne. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James P. Boschet, in 2016; sister, Mary Ann Rhoades; and brother, Franklin Akins. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2022, at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Allen County S.P.C.A.
