James was a special person and so glad he was a friend to me; I cared about him very much and we shared heart felt words. So grateful for having known him. Thank you for good memories to those who feel sad along with - for the loss of him in this life. Peace and Love to all here.

Jim and I worked together at the Department of Housing and Community Development, where Jim lead our first Resident Services unit. He was fair and compassionate, and also had a great sense of humour, which was very necessary in our positions. His kindness to those who needed it the most will not be forgotten.

If there are people in Heaven needing a helping hand, Jim will be helping God! RIP our dear friend. If you see Bob Schon up there, tell him we miss him too.

I worked with Jim during my time on FACETS board, and found him to be a very caring person always willing to help the less fortunate. He will be missed.

Fr. Jim joined our clergy staff at St. Mary Magdala's Spiritual Center in 2017. He brought with him his long history of working in health care and ministry to street folks in the Maryland/DC area. Jim was easy to befriend and offered a new perspective for us. After he became ill, he presented a model of continuing to work for the benefit of others. May his Memory be Eternal and may he rest with God.

Jim and I hung out together a lot during our high school years. We fished, hunted, hung out at each other's homes and partied together. We lost contact when we both left home. Thanks to Facebook we found each other again. We would text and talk with each other. He was my brother from a different mother, but we were close. The last message I got from him was October 21, a few weeks ago. He will be missed in my life, but he earned heaven. May God bless him and his family.
