James Edgar DeBrular

JAMES EDGAR DeBRULAR, 88, formerly of Fort Wayne and Fort Myers, Fla., passed away, Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, in Burke, Va. Born in Cromwell, Aug. 10, 1915, he was the son of Ells-worth and Nellie (Sparrow) De-Brular. He retired from Pennsylvania Railroad, after 36 years of service, and was a member of the United Transportation Union, Mitzpah Temple, Fort Wayne Valley Scottish Rite (50-year member) and Summit City Masonic Lodge. He was a Boy Scout leader, an active member of the Fort Myers Kiwanis and a lifelong Methodist. In addition to his wife, Edna Beers DeBrular, he is survived by daughters, Naomi (Roger) Foote of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Nancy (Fred) Richardson of Falls Church, Va; a son, James Michael (Laura) DeBrular of Fairfax, Va.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Tom (Geraldine) of Cromwell; sister-in-law, Lela DeBrular of Milford; and close cousins, Janie Cogdill of Summit, N.J. and Mary Jo Gramling of Cottonwood, Ariz. His adopted families, Don and Janice Morris and Susan and Tony Franz, also mourn his passing. His brother, Don C. DeBrular, preceded him in death, Nov. 25, 2003. Memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday at Burke United Methodist Church, Burke, Va.
