In 1060 I was 14 and got it in my head that I could be on the radio. I do not remember how anymore but I wound up having an interview with Jim. He knew I was too young and yet he interviewed me and we talked and he encouraged me to get a radio license, study do well in school and come back and see him when I graduated. He really build up my confidence and I have many times wondered what would have happened if he had knocked the wind out of my sails and told me to get lost he did not have time to waste on some kid. In the years since we have occsionally run into one another and he has always been very nice to me and I tried many times to tell him how much his encouragement meant to me and he would just smile. We did not see each other often, but I thought of him often. I am now almost 70 and had three sucessful business carears. I think he was the one who started me on my path. I will miss him.

" We seem to give him back to thee dear God, who gavest him to us, yet as thou didst not lose him in giving, so we have not lost him in his return. For life is eternal; and love is immortal; and death is only a horizon; and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight." Author unknown (to me) My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

May God bless Uncle Jimmy with His abundant Joy and Peace! May his family, friends and all those who love him dearly continue to be blessed by him and the blessings he shared with each of us! May rainbows, smiles, peace and joy fill our hearts always for knowing him! Amen.

Hugs to you all, Aunt Marsha, Carla, Jim, Tina, Beth, Susie, Vanessa, Tim, Terasina, Francesca, Marcella. We (the whole Goheen Clan) love you all dearly!

Uncle JImmy has always wished each of us "SHALOM"! Shalom, by it's origin, is "a Hebrew word meaning peace, harmony, wholeness, completeness, prosperity, welfare and tranquility". Through God's blessings, Uncle Jimmy believed he had achieved all these attributes by engaging with all those he loved and those around him....and he blessed us each time in return as he shared this greeting; wishing us the same!!!

Thank you Uncle Jimmy, may God Bless and forever hold you in His Palm!!! Shalom!

Love,
David, Loree Goheen, DJ, Drew

Jim Goheen was the most consummate gentleman. He was working for WANE when he visited us at our store. I will never forget his kind manner and his gentle demeanor. A great loss....though he has to be comforted by his amazing children, some of whom I taught at Bishop Dwenger.
Rest in peace, my friend.
