James Greene Obituary

JAMES I. GREENE, 77, of Fort Wayne, passed away, Thursday, March 26, 2009, at his home. Born in Madison ville, Ky., he work-ed as a Accountant with Magna-vox for 30 years, retiring in 1990. He loved his family and grandchildren, enjoyed golf, fishing, bowling, gardening, and baseball. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Treasurer with the Management Club at Magna-vox. Surviving are his wife, Anna "Chris" Greene; children, Terry Geier, Barbara (David) Rawls, and Angela (Michael) Pinkham, all of Fort Wayne, Brian (Cindy) Greene of New Haven, and Robin Greene of Chicago, Ill.; brother, David Greene of Moore Park, Calif.; sister, Imagene Hungate of Riverside, Calif.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, Ira and Nellie Greene; and sister, Mary Joe Grounds. Service is 1 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church, 7810 St. Joe Center Road, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Michael Harris officiating. Arrangements by D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne. Inurnment in Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
