JAMES LINCOLN SYNDRAM, 62, went to heaven on Sunday, June 6, 2021, joining his twin brother John. Born Feb. 12, 1959, he was the son of Richard Sr. and Donna Syndram. On Nov. 7, 1992, he married Stephanie (Scott) and they enjoyed 28 years together. He is the father of two sons by his previous marriage, Joshua and Charles. He worked at the FW Foundry for years, and most recently worked security at Indiana Auto Auction. He was a long-time fan of the Indianapolis Colts and looked forward to football season. He enjoyed taking long drives and discovering new shortcuts, and loved going fishing, especially when he could show off for his son and grandkids. Jim's love for music was a big part of his life. He wrote songs and played guitar, mostly by ear and without reading music. He has always been a fighter. As a young man, he trained in Tao Kwan Do, promising his mom that he wouldn't fight his twin brother. He battled his cancer fiercely - saying he was the poster child of various treatments and proclaiming that he needed to "beat this because he needed to be here to take care of his wife". "The sound of his voice will remain in our hearts forever." Surviving are his wife, Stephanie; sons, Joshua (Mindy), and Charles (Mickey); grandsons, AJ and Jeremiah; parents, Richard and Donna; siblings, Sheryl (Tom) Merchant, Richard Jr. (Kellie), Lori (Tim) Price, Patty (Greg) Fulk, and Michael (Jayme); as well as other extended family. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, John. Funeral service is 4 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46809), with visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. The family's preference is that face masks be worn. Memorial gifts may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy for the Syndram family may be shared at www.elzey-patterson-rodakfuneralhome.com
