JANICE EWERS Obituary

JANICE M. EWERS, 87, of Wolcottville, died on Thursday, June 6, 2013, at her home. Born Feb. 13, 1926, in LaGrange County, she was a daughter of Fred and Bertha (Garmire) Hamilton. She lived most of her lifetime in LaGrange County. "She was a loving mother and grandmother." She loved to cook and had been a cook at Zuke's I in Merriam, Ind. and Zuke's II in Ligonier, Ind. On Oct. 10, 1966, in Ligonier, she married Joseph Ewers; he survives in Wolcottville. Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Vicky and Steve Buttermore of Goshen, Ind.; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert Eyer of Albion, Charles P. and Jean Price of Locust Fork, Ala. and Jody and Amy Ewers of Wolcottville; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Florence Kunznick of Ferguson, Mo.; and a brother, Bill Hamilton of LaGrange. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Charles Michael Price on Jan. 5, 2008; two sisters, Ruth Brown and Jean Doney; and a brother, Bob Hamilton. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no services at this time. Arrangements are being handled by Frurip-May Funeral Home, LaGrange.
