JESSE BARTA

JESSE BARTA, 86, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021, in Fort Wayne. Born in New Kensington, Pa., he was a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Barta. Jesse proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army, and later worked 30 years for International Harvestor. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, and a former fireman for Logans Ferry Heights Volunteer Fire Department. Jesse was an avid fisherman, golfer, and a taxidermist. He is survived by his daughters, Beth Ann (Kevin) Owen and Colleen Moerchen, both of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren, Megan (Kevin), Emma, Chloe, Parker, and Lydia; and great-grandchildren, Kaden and Jayce. Jesse was also preceded in death by wife, Philomena Ann Barta; a brother, and a sister. Graveside service is noon Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, 5365 Lake Ave. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Parkview Home Health & Hospice.
