Joni Whittridge Obituary

Joni Lynn (Montgomery Kinsey) Whittridge, age 59, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on September 27, 2025, earning a well-deserved rest after a long battle with Cancer. Joni was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on September 20, 1966. Joni was preceded in death by her "pops", James Montgomery. She is survived by wife of 10 years, Kim Whittridge; mother, Phyllis Montgomery; sister, Jean "Jeannie" Faulconer; brother, James "Chip" (Jenn) Montgomery; children, Matt (Amanda) Kinsey and Cody (Nessi) Kinsey; grandchildren, Ali, LaraLynne, Timmy and Lukus; nephews, Jonah Montgomery and TJ Faulconer; niece, Sarah Montgomery; as well as many other family members and friends of Dayton, Ohio and Fort Wayne, Indiana. Joni graduated from Snider High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Class of 1985. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and went on to get her Master's Degree in Business. Joni worked at Parkview Hospital for over 25 years, including emergency room clerk, registrar, Educare and accounts receivable. In her free time, she enjoyed reading books and cheering on the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Fever. She was the best hugger in the world. Joni loved everyone that she ever encountered. She was practical, clever, caring and a do-it-yourself type of person. Donations may be made in Joni's memory to the Urban F. Meyer III and Shelley M. Meyer Fund for Cancer Research Fund. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
