I have many fond memories of both Phyllis and Joe. So sorry we didn't hear about this until afterwards or we would have come. Phyllis and my Mom organized many ICCL games between the Fort Wayne and South Bend teams. I also remember coming to stay the weekend during the Run Jane Run tournament where Phyllis got me on a team and I had a blast. Phyllis and Joe both gave so much of themselves for the youth of Fort Wayne. Now Phyllis has her partner with her. My sympathies to the family.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Dearest Joe,
Without you I would not be blessed with my beautiful daughter Jamie, her husband of 8 years Robb and our precious grandchildren Kotie(7), Breydan (6) Brock (4) and Jacob (2). So thank you. I wish that we could have shared time together, or known how you were doing. But the times we did have were happy ones. Phyllis has always been waiting with outstretched arms for the day you would come HOME. Now she can smile once again, as she always did when she was here. Our Jamie could not have asked for 2 more loving grandparents. I can still hear Phil calling her "Dolly" and see you cutting off her drinking straw so that it was little like her, and she wouldn't hurt her mouth on it!! Special memories...
God Bless and keep you...
Your former daughter in law Lori
