Just heard about this yesterday, so sorry Larry was a good friend and an avid golfer who won the Cross Creek Match Play Tournament. The old left hander will be missed on course along with his witty humor and the smile he always wore when golfing.

Larry was the consummate laborer and printing pro, working humbly and diligently behind the scenes, and making a difference at the newspapers he served. His work ethic and positive outlook that I witnessed in the JG backshop lifted up so many of his co-workers during a difficult era of frequent change and downsizing. Though I worked apart from his department, in the JG newsroom, it was the little-seen efforts from workers like Larry that helped make the newspaper great.
Rest in peace, friend.
