Dear Rikki,
Don and I are very sorry. One of the greatest gifts of my years in public service has been knowing you and Len. I learned a great deal from you and your husband, and always appreciated your kindness, support, and friendship.
Len was a talented and generous leader, and the world is a better place for his having been here. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Rikki & Family:
I first met Leonard Goldstein when I worked at Platka Export and new in Ft. Wayne.
Then in later years, I knew him through Allen C. Steere in Rotary and Quest Club.
He was so kind to pick Allen up for Rotary when Allen was unable to drive due to macular degeneration.
Our thanks to Len for his contribution to the community.
Rikki, I am sorry I couldn't extend my sympathy in person but I was with you in spirit.
Sincerely,
Lois Steereeawhi

My father came to Ft. Wayne in the 60's when Leorard gave him a job. Needless to say, if it weren't for Leonard, I would never have called Ft. Wayne my home. Thank you Leonard.

Beth and John Beams send our love and best wishes to Rikki and the entire Goldstein family. We have known Len Goldstein pretty much our entire adult lives. We have looked up to him as an inspiring role model of brilliance, passion, equanimity, and ethics, with the soul of the consumate progressive activist. We have felt his solid presence and support in our work at the Metro Commission, Planned Parenthood, Center for Nonviolence and in the ant-racist initiative of Virginia Blackburn. From Lenny, we learned the art of living in community. He will be forever missed, forever remembered. Our marriage of many years has drawn inspiration from the example of Rikki and Len, as a couple. Even as they established individual identities, they worked as one, with evident deep love and undying respect for each other. When you saw them together in public, you knew all was well with the world. We hold you two in tender reverence.

My condolences to Rikki and the family. What a difference Len's 71 years of life, leadership and service made to the Fort Wayne/Northeast Indiana community! His strong, persistent, public voice speaking up for justice, equality, and progressive, humanitarian values helped make Northeast Indiana a better place to live, work and play. Much respect to a life well lived.

So very sorry to hear of the loss. I will always remember the beautiful pictures of Mr. and Mrs. Goldstein taken with my parents in their younger years. His fabulous letters to the Editor in the Ft. Wayne newspapers were always absolutely correct (in my opinion). Sympathy to all the family.
