LOWELL THOMAS KELLER-MEIER, 75, of Rockford, Mich., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 17, 2009, from Spectrum Health-Blodgett Hospital. As a Shriner, he was especially proud to have served as Child Care Chairman for several years, in addition to belonging to the Legion of Honor, Midway and Muskegon Shrine clubs. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Dixie Kellermeier of Rockford; children, Blaine (Mary) Kellermeier of Rockford, Faith (Mark) Micho of East Grand Rapids, Kim (Ivor) Thomas of Rockford, and Cy Kellermeier of Gowen; eight grandchildren, Craig and Megan Kellermeier, MacKenzie, Brenden, and Madison Micho, and Collin, Riley, and Murphie Thomas; a brother, Marshall (Pat) Kellermeier of Auburn; a sister-in-law, Sandy Geyer of Mishawaka; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Delbert Kellermeier. Memorial service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rockford United Methodist Church, 159 Maple St., Rockford, Mich., with Pastor Dick Riley officiating. Visitation with the family is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with a Masonic service beginning at 8:30 p.m. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and final interment will be in Rockford Cemetery.
