Margaret O'Rourke McPike

Margaret O'Rourke McPike, 90, of Illinois, passed away November 23, 2025, She will be dearly missed by husband John "Tony" McPike, her children Tom, Daniel and Joanne, 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Two sons Stephen and Brian preceded her in death, as did two brothers, Jack and Jim O'Rourke.

Margaret was born in Fort Wayne, graduated from Indiana University in 1956, moved to Chicago and began employment with Marshall Field and Co., quickly becoming the firm's youngest floor manager. She left to raise five children, then returned to a working career and spent 20 years working with John at their investment management firm.

Margaret was an avid traveler having visited all 50 state capitals, most of Europe's capitals and many capital cities in the Far East. She was always ready for her next adventure. Her greatest love was family gatherings, particularly at the family cottage on Gem Island on Sylvan Lake. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 9:15 am until time of the Mass at 10 am at St. Norbert & Our Lady of the Brook Parish, 1809 Walters Ave., Northbrook, IL. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery, Northbrook. Funeral information 847-998-1020.
