Marsha Perrey Obituary

Marsha S. (Yun) O'Leary Perrey, 91, of Fort Wayne, passed away on July 6, 2024, She was born on September 12, 1932, in Seoul, Korea to the late Chung and Pok Sun (Im) Yun. On June 10, 1967, she married David M. Perrey, who survives her. Marsha spent many years as a waitress at Kaysans Restaurant in Fort Wayne and loved her customers as her own family. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and helping others. She enjoyed cooking, especially Korean food, sharing her recipes with others. She also enjoyed knitting and watching Korean dramas. Marsha is survived by her husband, her children, Robert O'Leary, Michael (Nancy) O'Leary, Catherine Fisher, Patricia (Herman) Berghoff, Susan O'Leary, Annrita Chappell, and Lisa (Javon) Bryant. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and a sister who lives in Korea. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Chun Hi Kim, a daughter in law, Kathy O'Leary, and a granddaughter, Miranda DePew.

Marsha's absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her. Her warmth, kindness, and loving nature touched the lives of many.

A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 AM, on Monday, July 22, 2024, at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, 1105 Calhoun St., Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation one hour prior. The family will also receive friends and relatives from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN. Entombment will follow the funeral mass at Catholic Cemetery in Fort Wayne. Memorial Contributions in memory of Marsha S. Perrey may be made to Dementia & Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601. Online condolences for Marsha's family may be made at www.divinemercyfuneralhome.com
