Michael Mishler Obituary

MICHAEL B. "MICK" MISHLER, 66, of South Whitley, died Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Peabody Home, North Manchester. Born Nov. 10, 1942, in Kosciusko County, he was the son of the late Hugh June and Ruby Lucille (Jenkins) Mishler. He was a lifelong South Whitley resident and a 1961 graduate of South Whitley High School. A self-employed farmer for much of his life, he also drove truck, most recently for Gladieux Refinery. After a disabling accident in 1984, he was employed with Hoffman Farms in Columbia City. He was also a member of the South Whitley Lions Club. Surviving relatives include three children, Randy Michael Mishler of Vancouver, Wash., Rhonda M. (William) Craun of Carmel and Dr. Richard M. (Megan) Mishler of Portland, Ore.; six grandchildren; a brother, Milan (Karen) Mishler of North Manchester; four sisters, Mille Mishler, Marcia Himes and Marlene (Rob) Mishler, all of South Whitley, and Monna (Gene) Crawford of Lake City, Fla.; and a sister-in-law, Suzy Mishler of Fort Wayne. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Manford Mishler. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Thursday at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley, with calling from noon until time of service.
