Nikki Denise Rusher

Nikki Denise (Oberley) Rusher, 68, of New Haven, IN, passed away November 5, 2025, She was the daughter of Kathlynn Yvonne Passwater (Heinold) and Russell Clark Oberley, and the Stepdaughter of Robert Heinold. Nikki is survived by her siblings Jeffrey Oberley, Valerie Oberley-Ray, Rae Ann Baumert, and Vickie Ann Oberley- Miller; her children Christeen Rusher (David Miller), Nicholas Rusher (Samantha Hanke), and Alexander Rusher (Mikell Foster-Rusher); and grandchildren Rowan Fairfax-Kunkel, Coraline Miller, Stone Rusher, and August Rusher. She grew up on family farms in Columbia City and Woodburn, Indiana, and held various roles throughout her life, including at Lutheran Nursing Home, where she worked alongside her best friend of 45 years, Jane Ross. She also served in the New Haven VFW and was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 4257, where she enjoyed lifelong friendship with Kristy Rose. Her hobbies included ceramics, scrapbooking with her sisters and jewelry making. Nikki's vibrant and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
