Pat and I were neighbors for a number of years and good friends during that time. Our love of Christ brought us together. Pat welcomed so many into her home where her warmth and generosity shined. I will miss Pat´s compassion, smile and her laughter! Well done good and faithful servant.

So sorry to hear this. Miss Adsit was my 5th grade teacher at Forest Park and I believe it might have been her first year of teaching.
At the time I was being raised by a single working mother and she connected with Miss Adsit because they were both from the same area of Illinois. Whether real or not, I felt like Miss Adsit to a special interest in me (she probably made every student feel that way). I remember a few times that she and I would walk to Buschbaum's and she would treat me to lunch of a grilled cheese and tomato soup. She probably wasn't supposed to do that, but her kindness is remembered with love in the heart of 74 year old man. A wonderful teacher and better human being... Always remembered with love and admiration. Thank you, Miss Adsit.

I was part of Miss Adsit's second 5th grade class at Forest Park Elementary. She challenged our class every day but also saw us as individuals some of whom were unfocused or needed extra help with social as well as educational issues.
R.I.P. Patricia, you did good.

My younger sisters, Eileen and Linda Nesbitt were students of Mrs Adsit at Forest Park. My sisters passed away in 2020. I was quite a bit older than them and I clearly remember them both talking about their teachers from time to time. Mrs Adsit was the winner for both of them. It´s a wonderful tribute to her that they mentioned her with such frequency that I would remember all these years later. I feel such pride for your family.

I have fond memories of Ms. Adsit teaching during the wonderful years as an elementary student in the 1970s. God bless her, her family, and friends.
